Ms Lynn explores forms and contrasts in a way that is at once dramatic and deeply honest. When Lynn sees a shape, she always tries to look beyond the structures of what she sees and into something more inward, more elemental.

 

Each of these visual dramas, ranging from seven feet long to just four by six inches, is a play of strong, urgent forms, dominated, by a fresh and vigorous light that is always the most powerful character.

 

Having lived in Los Angeles for over a decade, Lynn's work is in a very different topography. The pieces convey a reverence for the earth, which manifests itself in quite sensual ways. These works play on the elemental values of sun, water, and earth to capture the spirit of each environment. It has been observed that some of her paintings almost impart the aroma of the earth. Each has an underlying sense of order which will emerge in some surprising manner to reveal the paintings' essence. This comes from her intimate relationship with the subject matter.
