Planet Trash makes their mark in Los Angeles by creating these 'Color Barges.' The idea came from when they moved back to New York from Los Angeles for a three month artist residency project and was packing all their things to make the big move. Not able to come up with a good way to pack everything, they decided to pack everything according to what color it was. They filled each box with everything they owned by color... a simple idea. When they needed something, they would look in the appropriate colored box. This quickly became the art direction for P.T.

 

When they returned to Los Angeles they started producing the Color Barges on a large scale with moving parts, electric motors, radios, clocks and lights.
